Where FanDuel keeps your tax documents

FanDuel treats each product line as its own account for tax purposes. If you use more than one FanDuel product, you'll have a separate statement for each. All documents live in the account you signed up with β€” the sportsbook and casino apps share a wallet in most states, but tax docs are still filed per product.

  • Sportsbook β€” account.sportsbook.fanduel.com β†’ Activity β†’ Tax Information
  • Casino β€” casino.fanduel.com β†’ Account β†’ Tax Center
  • DFS β€” fanduel.com β†’ My Account β†’ Tax Information
  • Racing (TVG/FanDuel Racing) β€” racing.fanduel.com β†’ My Account β†’ Tax Documents

Step-by-step: download your Sportsbook win/loss statement

  1. Sign in to the FanDuel Sportsbook web app (the mobile app doesn't expose tax exports).
  2. Open the menu and choose Account β†’ Activity.
  3. Select Tax Information.
  4. Pick the tax year (e.g. 2025 for a return filed in early 2026).
  5. Download the Annual Statement (PDF). It lists total wagers, total winnings, net win/loss, and any W-2G reportable events.
  6. If you triggered a W-2G (e.g. a 300Γ— payout of $600+, or a $5,000+ net win on certain wagers), the form appears in the same panel β€” download it as a separate PDF.

Step-by-step: download your Casino tax documents

  1. Sign in to casino.fanduel.com.
  2. Open Account β†’ Tax Center.
  3. Select the tax year and download the Win/Loss Statement.
  4. Any W-2Gs (slots jackpots β‰₯ $1,200, table games under specific thresholds) will be listed here as well.

Step-by-step: download your DFS 1099

If your net DFS winnings for the year are $600 or more, FanDuel is required to issue a 1099-MISC (some years, a 1099-K may also apply based on IRS thresholds).

  1. Go to fanduel.com and sign in.
  2. Open My Account β†’ Tax Information.
  3. Download your 1099 for the year. If you don't see one, your net winnings were under the reporting threshold β€” you still owe tax on the income.

The win/loss statement isn't the whole story

The IRS position is well established: an operator's win/loss statement is a starting point, not proof. To deduct gambling losses on Schedule A (or report session-level income), you need a contemporaneous log β€” dates, wager types, amounts, and outcomes. FanDuel's PDF doesn't break sessions down that way, and it excludes bonus-funded wagers from most of its totals.

The safest workflow is: keep a session ledger during the year, then reconcile it against FanDuel's annual statement in January. Discrepancies are common β€” bonus bets, cancelled wagers, and cross-state activity can all shift the totals.

Common questions

What if my W-2G is missing?

Contact FanDuel support in-app. Missing W-2Gs are usually a name/address mismatch after a move β€” update your profile, then request a re-issue.

Do I owe tax if FanDuel didn't issue a form?

Yes. All gambling winnings are taxable income in the US regardless of whether a 1099 or W-2G was issued.

Can I deduct losses?

Federal: only if you itemize on Schedule A, and only up to the amount of your winnings. Many states (e.g. Illinois, Indiana, Michigan) don't allow the deduction at all β€” see our state sports-betting tax guide for the per-state rules.
